School Uniforms
We are a uniform school, as voted by our families and approved by the VCUSD Board of Education in 2012. By wearing school uniforms, students become part of a team, fostering a greater sense of identity and belonging while promoting academic excellence.
Please label all clothing on the inside with students’ names to ensure missing items are returned. If a student is out of uniform, they will be sent to the office to receive a loaned uniform (if available), and families will be notified. If you need assistance obtaining uniforms, please contact the office or send a note with your child. We accept donations of new or gently used uniforms year-round to support students in need.
Cave logo spirit wear (Cave logo T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.) may be worn every Friday. Spirit Days are on the last Friday of each month and may include themes such as Sports Day or Crazy Hat/Hair Day.

Jackets, Sweaters, and Sweatshirts
Solid navy or hunter green sweaters, sweatshirts, or pullovers may be worn inside the building. Pull-over sweaters, front-opening sweaters, or sweatshirts must conform to the uniform color code and be free of logos. Jackets may be any color or style buat should only be worn outdoors. Please label all clothing on the inside with students’ names. We will make every effort to return found items with names.
Shoes
Shoes must be suitable for physical education. Tennis shoes or black or brown leather shoes are preferred. No platform shoes, open-toed shoes, or backless shoes (including flip-flops, sandals, mules, and slides) are allowed. Shoes with shoelaces must be tied for safety. Shoes or sneakers must fit securely on the foot and may be laced or buckled. Crocs are not permitted due to safety concerns.
Accessories
For safety and to minimize distractions, no excessively large earrings, necklaces, or rings are allowed. Additionally, excessively long nails are not permitted.
