Welcome to Cave Language Academy

Cave Language Academy is a TK-8th grade Spanish-English dual-immersion school where students learn standards-based academic content while gaining oral and written proficiency in a second language. As an additive model dual-immersion public school, we foster excellence in our students' bi-literacy in both Spanish and English. In our dual immersion classrooms, native English speakers will be grouped with native Spanish speakers for core academic instruction. We utilize California standards-based curriculum and materials to teach core subjects.

Our Mission

Our mission at Cave Language Academy is to prepare every child to become bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish and English, while achieving high levels of academic success to be college and career ready. This goal is ambitious and requires more commitment, and therefore can only be achieved with full, collaborative support from our school community.

Achieving Bilingual Excellence

Founded in 2011, Cave Language Academy starts with 90% instruction in Spanish for TK–1st grade, gradually increasing English until reaching a 50/50 ratio by 5th–8th grade. Research shows dual immersion programs enhance second language proficiency without harming the first. Students excel academically in both languages, preparing to be bilingual and biliterate. The school also offers volunteer-based after-school enrichment classes.
