Welcome to Cave Language Academy

Cave Language Academy is a TK-8th grade Spanish-English dual-immersion school where students learn standards-based academic content while gaining oral and written proficiency in a second language. As an additive model dual-immersion public school, we foster excellence in our students' bi-literacy in both Spanish and English. In our dual immersion classrooms, native English speakers will be grouped with native Spanish speakers for core academic instruction. We utilize California standards-based curriculum and materials to teach core subjects.

Our Mission

Mission Statement

Our mission is to work together with families to provide our diverse learners the opportunity to achieve academic excellence in two languages, meet A–G requirements in high school, and advance toward career and college.

Achieving Bilingual Excellence

Founded in 2011, Cave Language Academy starts with 90% instruction in Spanish for TK–1st grade, gradually increasing English until reaching a 50/50 ratio by 5th–8th grade. Research shows dual immersion programs enhance second language proficiency without harming the first. Students excel academically in both languages, preparing to be bilingual and biliterate.
